- 1/2 pound lean ground beef
- 1 tsp chopped garlic
- 1 chopped onion
- 1 small container of ricotta
- 1 cup frozen spinach
- 1 jar of marinara sauce
- 1/2 cup shredded parmesan cheese
My boyfriend asked me the other day if we could try making stuffed cannelloni – I said sure babe! Let’s try making stuffed cannelloni. So the hunt began for the perfect stuffed cannelloni recipe. Had I ever had stuffed cannelloni before? Absolutely not. Did I know what was supposed to go in stuffed cannelloni? Absolutely not. I found stuffed cannelloni recipes with spinach and ricotta cheese, and recipes with ground beef. So I said “let’s try it all!” Thus I bring you my stuffed cannelloni recipe with spinach, beef AND ricotta cheese. Because why not?
p.s I feel as though this would taste just as good and be a lot easier to make as a lasagna, because stuffing these cannellonis isn’t exactly easy and it’s very time consuming. So, well this stuffed cannelloni recipe is delicious, I won’t be making it again any time soon. Because ‘aint nobody got time for that.
Stuffed Cannelloni Recipe
Ingredients
Ready to cook cannelloni
1/2 pound lean ground beef
1 tsp chopped garlic
1 chopped onion
1 small container of ricotta
1 cup frozen spinach
1 jar of marinara sauce
1/2 cup shredded parmesan cheese
Directions
- In a pan over medium heat, saute chopped onions and garlic until onions are translucent
- Add in lean ground beef and cook until browned
- Add in frozen spinach and ricotta and stir until everything is thoroughly combined
- Follow the directions on your box of cannelloni for baking instructions, I used this brand of cannelloni
- Stuff the cannelloni with a spoon or you fingers or whatever you can fit in there, it’s hard and time consuming
- Top with marinara sauce and parmesan cheese, bake according to cannelloni box directions
- Serve!
