Ingredients
Small Diced Onion
1 Cup Water
1 Cup Soy Sauce
1/2 Cup Sugar
1 tbsp garlic powder
Chicken legs w/ back attached
How To Make
Add onion to pan on medium heat.
Add in 1 cup of water and 1 cup of soy sauce.
Add in 1/2 a cup of sugar, stir until completely dissolved.
Mix in 1 tbsp of garlic powder.
Add your chicken and cook for half an hour on each side.
Stir sauce very often.
Serve over rice.
After Thoughts
This delicious Japanese dish is one of my favorite! You really need to watch the sauce though because mine started burning to the bottom of the pan – oops! Aside from that little mishap the onions were amazing on top of this after caramelizing in the sauce. It’s quite the messy meal to make so be prepared to clean but in my opinion the meal itself was totally worth the clean up after. (Besides – if you cook the dinner, the boyfriend should clean. Am I right ladies?!) Enjoy!
