- 6 large jalapeños
- 1 stick cream cheese
- 1/2 cup panko breadcrumbs
- Tbsp margarine or butter
Are you ready to make the easiest super bowl snack ever? Forewarning: they’re friggin’ hot. I think these little guys are good luck food, because we ate them and the Seahawks won the NFC Championship and now they’re going to the super bowl!
Easy 3-Ingredient Jalapeño Poppers:
Preheat your oven to 450 degrees. Melt some margarine or butter in a pan and toss your panko bread crumbs in the pan, stir them around for a minute until they’re golden in colour. Turn off the heat. Slice your jalapeños lengthwise and de-seed (you may want to wear gloves for this.) Spread softened cream cheese inside each sliced jalapeño, don’t over stuff them and don’t worry about making them pretty! Take each cream cheese stuffed jalapeño popper and place them face down in the panko breadcrumbs. Place poppers on a parchment lined baking sheet and top with any leftover breadcrumbs.
Bake for 20-25 minutes and allow to cool for 5 minutes before eating! These guys are spicy! We dipped them in marinara to offset the heat a bit, but they were delicious. Of course you could take this recipe and change it to your liking, these would also be great with cheddar cheese stirred into the cream cheese before spreading!
