- 1/2 cup cooked rice
- 2 cups shredded asiago cheese
There’s nothing better than a simple recipe with only a few ingredients. This recipe for sausage and asiago stuffed peppers is just that: extremely easy and only 4 ingredients. I used poblano peppers for this recipe but you can feel free to use bell peppers as well. Isn’t it funny that almost exactly a year ago I came out with this Stuffed Pepper Recipe? What are the chances of that?!
Sausage and Asiago Stuffed Peppers
Ingredients
2 poblano peppers
6 Italian sausage links
1/2 cup cooked rice
2 cups shredded asiago cheese
Directions
Preheat your oven to 350 degrees.
Cook your rice, I used this brand of rice/quinoa to stuff my peppers and it was fantastic (and so nutritious!)
Remove sausages from their casing, break apart in a skillet over medium heat. Add in cooked rice and shredded asiago cheese until it’s fully melted.
Slice and stuff peppers as full as possible (over fill them, even!)
Bake peppers for 35-45 minutes until tender and stuffing is crispy on top!
As always thank you so much for checking out this recipe! Please share this recipe with your friends and help my baby blog grow!
